  The Middleman, Volume 2

Nick Corrigan is an aimless 20-something who discovers that his aging neighbor used to be the notorious supervillain known as "Hardliner", now retired and living in hiding for the past few decades. Rather than turn him in to the authorities, Nick decides to blackmail him in exchange for lessons in the fine art of career super-crime. But the old pro is about to teach his student some lessons he'll never forget.

Villains is 4 issue mini-series written by the unscrupulous Adam Cogan, drawn by the diabolical Ryan Cody, with colors by the shady Russ Lowery.

Issue 1

Nick Corrigan just hit bottom. He lost his job, he’s behind on the rent, and his girlfriend may or may not be having an affair with her boss. But when Nick discovers that his aging upstairs neighbor is secretly the retired supervillain known as “Hardliner”, he sees an opportunity to turn his luck around.

Adam Cogan (Writer / Co-creator)

Adam Cogan is a writer and game designer with eight years of game industry experience, culminating with the fan semi-favorite “Robotech: Battlecry”, and he's currently working on an unannounced PSP title. Some of his previous clients include: TDK Mediactive, Harmony Gold USA, Marvel Entertainment, Fox Interactive, THQ Inc, Hasbro Interactive, Take 2 Interactive, Mattel Interactive, and a whole bunch of other Interactives. Adam is now breaking and entering the comic book industry with his latest fiasco, “Villains”, an idea he came up with after muggers swiped his social compass. He is also rewriting history on "The Black Coat", a collection of lies and exaggerations concerning a costumed Revolutionary War-era superspy.

Adam was last seen living in North Carolina along with his wife Melanie, who is so cute there outta be a law.

Ryan Cody (Artist / Co-creator)

Ryan Cody has wanted to create comics for as long as he can remember, and only after a stint living in Okinawa, Japan, 5 years of self doubt, and a long car ride with a severed head he has finally succeeded. He is an Honors graduate in Animation and "Villains" is only one of several projects he has been blackmailed into producing. His future plans include world domination and channeling the spirit of Jack Kirby, and not necessarily in that order.

Mr. Cody was last seen dying of heat exhaustion in Phoenix, AZ with his wife and 3 sons.
