Our Webcomics Officially Launch March 1, 2010 with Sanford Park, then on March 15, 2010 we launch the 2nd Webcomic Riverside by Rhys McDonald. There are few other titles that will be coming so stay tuned for more announcements. RiverSide is a comic strip centering around the life of a girl named Lily. Nothing out of the ordinary happens to Lily, until she's dragged down the rabbit hole into a world where she learns things out of the ordinary do happen, and she's in the middle of something big. A, open ended, light hearted adventurous romp. Schlock fantasy fun never looked so good in short shorts. Here is a sample page of whats coming. Enjoy.
This morning I received an email from a fan writing in and advising that her 8 year old loved reading graphic novels and would read anything GN they could get a hold of. She asked for some recommendations and I advised on some of the great all ages content we've published, plus filled her in on Stu Bear which is coming this Summer. It was at this moment that I figured I'd share another project thats been in the works for a bit and seems to be taking shape and should be out late this year. They are small, cute and cuddly....they are one of the latest Blinko Books in production called Hero Petz. The series will will blast you into a whole new Orbital Galaxy.
So we've been slowly chipping away on another project we have in the works and I believe we are just pending letters. So I decided to show you bit of what we do at times when it comes to cover art. Many times we slightly very parts of a cover to come up with the version we're most happy with. As was the case with Orpheus.... Orpheus Synopsis: For years Orpheus, the world’s greatest escape artist, has defied the odds, wowed audiences and challenged Death. Now, during his final performance Death has accepted that challenge. If Orpheus is to perform his greatest escape ever, he will have to question everything he knows, and pay a price even greater than he could have imagined. So hopefully we'll narrow it down to one before the lettering is complete and solicitations are here. Covers are just so important as they provide the reader a sneak look at the story.
With a revamp of the Viper site comes a revamp of Sketch86.com, the apparel side of things. Tony spent quite a bit of time re-making it so that it would be more interactive and allowing for shirts to be rated. And he also designed a few more new shirts which are to be back very soon. Well today I did a really cool POD cast interview with Hatch Tarr, it had been a little while since my last interview and man I could so feel the excitement building within me as I spoke about all the cool things we have coming up. Sanford Park is a comic strip about life in the multicultural melting pot of American suburbia. Unless you're a human, in which case you might say that Sanford Park is a comic strip about a bunch of cute animals, each of which “thinks he's people.” This is why they never talk to you.
