Man O Man, what an insane month June was...It was good and bad...anyway, here are some more roughs, this was when I first starting writing Rip...I had so many ideas popping out of my head it was crazy...I drew up the first 32 strips and inked them in 4 days...I was a maniac...then it slowed down because for the life of me I didn't know how to end the first story...anyway, on ward

Will Dr. Pain die? will he get his popcorn? Questions like these are left to the readers imagination... Actually, I have no idea... I guess if I knew readers thought he was a cool villain I'd bring him back, but then again, he's the only villain you've seen so far... so how would we know if he's a better villain than somebody else?

Will Rip Haywire make it out of the submarine in time? will the comic strip be renamed to TNT n Cobra C. because of his death? stay tuned! ha
so long Dr. Pain...or is it?

This is the first strip I ever drew of Rip Haywire. I used the gag, but not this situation. Also, Before I named Cobra Carson...her name was AK-47 Anna. But then I thought both are dangerous, but the character should be a snake not a gun. Also most of the famous adventure cartoonists named their heroines either after snakes, booze, or gems. So it was either Cobra, Margarita, or Pearl haha

This was another gag I didn't use...well, you be the judge, is it funny? or just one of those type gags where you read it and immediatley move on to "You'll have that" and the rest. haha

I was looking through my sketch book, and roughs, and I thought I'd share the Rip Haywire ones with you. This one was one of my original gags that I rejected, because I started thinking, Rip is a hero, he shouldn't be getting drunk and picking fights.
But I thought the gag was funny, maybe it'll show up somewhere later on down the road in a character that is an anti hero. Hope you like!
